Ethan's Bath

I just love this video of Ethan in the tub. He has become quite chatty these days. Though you wouldn't know it from this video, he has quite a vocabulary. Baths are like a death wish for Ethan because he loves to stand up and pretend the handle is a car he is driving. I can't even count the number of times he has fallen on the spout. He is such a tough kid.

Day off

I had a minute today so I thought that I would write a little something. I have a break tomorrow from tests so I don't have to spend all night studying. This picture is so great. First there is snow on the ground which we don't have here. It does snow but doesn't stay around and it is eastern snow so it is wet and not as fun as nice powder. Secondly it looks like I have tied a rope to Ethan and then started pulling him through the snow. There is a sled under him but he wouldn't sit up in it (I don't think that he could with his snow suit on). Ethan doesn't really like the snow he thinks that it is too cold. I tried to sled with him one day here when we had some snow, the problem was that we don't have a sled and I was using the snow shovel (a little redneck). So I would sit Ethan on my lap and try and go down the hill. He wasn't much of a fan. Give him a couple of years and I am sure that he will be daredevil. (I added this picture so you can get the full image of Abe and Ethan on the shovel).

Just a little follow up on our little casanova. We had stake conference last week and so we took turns walking the halls with Ethan. On one such occasion he found a little girl that was about his same age and had just about as much balance. Well he decided that she needed a hug so he proceeded to give her one. She was all about it because of his stunning good looks. They ended up on the floor, for some reason when you take two wobbly kids and put them together instead of becoming stable they actually get more wobbly. Luckily they were ok and she didn't cry. What a character.

Playground Casanova

This is so cute that I had to tell everyone. Ethan goes to daycare at a friend of ours. They also watch a couple of other kids including an 8 month old girl. When I went to pick Ethan up the other day Bria (our friend) says that Ethan has a little girlfriend. Of course I asked her to explain and as it turns out he sits and plays and giggles with this little girl. Then one time when she started to cry he crawled over and put her pacifier in. On top of all of that he blows her kisses. What a little flirt. I think that we are going to have troubles with this one.

I married a good woman

I don't know if Mer will approve or not but I am going to post this picture anyway. I think that they look cute. This is on our back deck (it is so tiny, at least compared to our last one) and I know it looks like it backs up to the woods but it doesn't. We have one row of pines for privacy which is nice.

After reading Mer's post I realized that I am very lucky. Here I had been posting things about Ethan or school or whatever and she gets on and talks about how grateful she is. So I am very lucky. Besides she is my sugar momma, whats not to like about that.

Just to Make Abe Happy

Abe has been hinting a lot the last couple of weeks that I should post something to "our" blog. I have resisted. But since I work until midnight I really don't want to see the computer any more than I have to. So I think I have an excuse. But tonight I will postpone the endless work and post something. It is sad that I'm not sure I will even know how to post this once I get finished. I should have gotten instructions.

I'm just having one of those days when you realize how blessed you are. I have these two amazing men in my life. Ethan ran to me with his completely out of control swagger when I picked him up from the babysitter. You can't have a bad day when that little guy smiles at you and blows you kisses. Though he did keep asking for dad on the way out the door. (I need to pick him up more often). And Abe is just the best. He is so busy yet he did all the dishes tonight, picked up the house, started tomorrow's dinner and folded the laundry, while I sat here and worked. I just can't ask for more.

So after counting my blessings for a few minutes its back to work. Love you Abe!

Oh life would be great if school was like it was when we were kids. If all I had to do was learn to tie my shoes. Sometimes I wonder why I signed myself up for this. Then I realize that I wouldn't be satisified doing something else. I think of the times when I was doing rotations as a medic and how bad it sucked in the firehouse when we would sit around all day waiting to go on a call, then when you went on a call how frustrating it was that most of the emergency's weren't even emergency's. I know that a doctors life is full excitement but I have loved doing medicine in the military. Life is good

Here are some cute pictures that I thought everyone should enjoy
Ethan is walking (as you can see). He is now all over the place. We took him with us to church yesterday as we were cleaning the building and he just walked up and down the halls. It was nice because he had a lot of room to rome and there wasn't to much that he could hurt himself on. He is so fun.
Another week of school is done. Sometimes it seems that is the only way that I get through is by counting down the weeks. We have yet another test on Monday. That is three weeks in a row of Monday tests. How fun! At least we don't have any tests the following week which means that next weekend I can relax (but not much). I never really know how to end these blogs. It is like I am writing in journal but everyone sees it. Oh well.
